My Favourite Wedding Ceremony Songs to Perform (Vocals & Saxophone)
The ceremony is the most emotional part of the day. The right song doesn’t just fill the silence — it sets the tone, controls the pace of the entrance, and creates a moment that stays with you forever.
Over the years, I’ve performed at hundreds of weddings, I’ve delivered these songs both as live vocals and on saxophone — and they consistently create something special.
Here are some of my favourite ceremony choices.
1. Can’t Help Falling in Love – Elvis Presley
This is timeless.
As a live vocal, it’s soft, romantic and instantly intimate.
On saxophone, it becomes beautifully understated — perfect for a relaxed, elegant entrance.
It works particularly well in heritage venues or smaller ceremony rooms where the emotion carries naturally.
2. Perfect – Ed Sheeran
A modern classic.
Sung live, Perfect feels personal and sincere. It suits couples who want something contemporary but still romantic.
On saxophone, it becomes slightly more cinematic — especially for longer aisles where you want a gradual build as the bride walks.
3. A Thousand Years – Christina Perri
If you want emotional impact, this delivers.
Vocally, it builds beautifully and allows the moment to breathe.
On sax, the melody carries effortlessly and feels almost orchestral — ideal for larger ceremony spaces.
4. L.O.V.E – Nat King Cole
For couples who want something joyful and classy, this is a brilliant choice.
As a vocal, it’s charming and upbeat.
On sax, it creates a sophisticated, vintage atmosphere — perfect for elegant venues.
It also works wonderfully as an exit song once you’re officially married.
5. Can You Feel the Love Tonight – Elton John
This balances nostalgia and romance.
Sung live, it creates warmth in the room immediately.
On saxophone, the melody flows naturally and feels emotional without being overpowering.
It’s a lovely option for couples who want something meaningful but not overly traditional.
6. You Are the Reason – Calum Scott
One of the more powerful modern choices.
Vocally, it’s heartfelt and contemporary.
On sax, it becomes deeply atmospheric and works beautifully for a slower, dramatic entrance.
It’s especially popular with couples who want something emotional without going too classical.
7. So Easy (To Fall In Love) – Olivia Dean
This has quickly become a modern classic.
It sounds stunning on the Saxophone, but it’s a song I just love singing with its effortless, romantic style.
8. Ordinary – Alex Warren
An emotional song which start off slower and builds up with a huge impact – and serves itself well as a hugely emotive and beautiful Saxophone song full of drama.
9. You’re Still The One – Shania Twain/Teddy Swims
I love this song! This was always a classic song, and perhaps went out of fashion a little before coming back hugely over the last few years. If I’m honest, this is one of my favourite romantic songs of all time.

Vocal or Saxophone for Your Ceremony?
Both work beautifully — it simply depends on the atmosphere you want.
Live Vocals feel personal and lyrical.
Saxophone feels elegant, cinematic and flowing.
Some couples even combine both across different parts of the ceremony — vocals for the aisle, sax for signing, for example.
The key isn’t just the song choice — it’s the timing, tempo and delivery. I always work with couples to:
-
Time the entrance perfectly
-
Adjust the tempo to match the walk
-
Provide background music for guest arrival
-
Shape the emotional build of the moment
When performed live, even familiar songs feel completely different.
If you’re planning your ceremony and thinking about live music, choosing the right song — and the right delivery — can elevate the moment far beyond pressing play. If you’re looking for a wedding ceremony singer or saxophonist get in touch.
Because when the doors open and the music begins, that’s the memory that lasts.
